I don't think Id ever buy one because I prefer being able to change gears. I can't imagine using ss on really steep hills either. Not my style.

I like my SS. I'm thinking of building one up just for trail riding.The one I have now I ride street on.

So you don't dislike SSs at all, you just dislike people that ride them it seems. That's like not liking guns just because people shoot people with them. It's the person doing the action, not the gun's fault.
