Good MTB computer w/ altimeter

Does anyone know of a good computer w/ altimeter. I have a Specialized Turbo Pro for my road bike. However, when I tried to set it up on my Kona MTB the distance from the computer to the sensor was too far (they recommend no more than 24 inches) and the distance between the sensor and the little magnet was also too far. Any suggestions? Thanks.

A Suunto T6 watch and Suunto bike pod work wonderfully for these purposes. Expensive though and maybe does more than you want. Also does heart rate, speed, distance, etc., and downloads it all to your computer and into Suunto software to map it and track it for you. There are no distance issues as you mention with your Specialized.
