I wasn't concerned with the top end, except for the part where they use the ZR9000 alloy for the frame.
That was my thought exactly. Mostly it's a matter of principle. I like the bike (that's why I bought it), but I didn't like the idea of Gary Fisher claiming something they are not in fact doing.

In the past couple of years the Taiwanese have been accelerating fast in the quality dept.
Who cares where it is made.Just because it's "made in USA" doesn't mean diddly squat.
Actually i would rather pay for labor over seas than support slave laboring sweat shops here in the U.S.

read it properly, Designed in Canada(Rocky Mountain) or USA doesnt actually mean it will be build there, some companies have their own factory for each continent so where it is made is different but it will still have the same geometry and quality. The advantages of these company making a lot of factories is that they could sell their bikes at different countries for cheaper prices instead of importing it from US which is more expensive.
