720?

When was the first 720 ever completed on a mountain bike? The first one I ever saw was at the end of NWD 6 when Paul Basagotia did a 720. Also when was the first backflip completed on a mountain bike?

Good question, same here, the first 720 on a MTB I've ever seen was in NWD6.

I don't know about a back flip but I did a front flip on mtb about 1990. It was on accident and I didn't land it but it left a cool chain ring mark on a tree.

Thats something you don't see really often, front flips! Is there a reason why mountain bikers almost do front flips?

Because its very hard, for a backflip you need more balls than skill, you just need to pull REALLY hard but for a front flip, you need some strength and skill too the jump shoots you backwards, you need to compensate for that and still flip enough to land on your wheels and not on your head.

Has anyone ever even done a frontflip on a mountain bike? If anyone has a video of it I'll love to see it!

That 720 was sick. I have seen that too. Maybe becuase I own the DVD lol. And Dylan, I have seen someone do it on a BMX in the Summer X Games once. In the Dirt Jumping part of it.

Hell yeah.

Click on Tom Rakos' video, he does several frontflips in it including landing one into a manual, very talented.
