i have candies. i thought the platform would help by giving me something bigger to get my foot on during uphill restarts. All it really does is make it a complete pain to get clipped in again. They suck! My new eggbeater sl's are on the way.

I've got these

I just upgraded from the one without the surrounding cage. Their seems to be some misunderstanding of what the surrounding cage is for. The cage gives your foot way more stability and spreads the load of pedaling on a larger area of your foot. It really isn't meant for riding unclipped, even though it may help.
