02 Banshee Scream

my buddy just offered me an 02 banshee scream for 400 bucks w/ a fox vanilla r shock. i'm riding an 05 kona stuff (hardtail) right now so it'd be quite an intense step up. i'd be transferring all the parts from my stuff to the scream and probably investing in a junior t fork for the scream, what do you guys think? i'm not the best with the pricing so thats why i'm asking you guys

p.s. the scream matches my style of riding so i just need a thumbs up or down on if it's a good deal or not. thanks guys

02 had issues with the lower shock mount. Check it for cracks.

Bikes: Check signature

I'd hit it as long as the frame is structurally intact (i.e. no cracks, dents & the like).

If it's in good shape why not...it's a good deal. Might want to look into what Maelstrom was talking about though.
