please help

Hi everyone, just wanted to say i love the forum and biking. I need some help. I recentley purchased a GT avalance 2.0 . I rode it around my home the past couple days, but today i went on my first real trailride. It was great and I really loved it. The bike was alright but i only rode it for 20 minutes. Then i switched with a friend who has a trek 6700. Also, another great bike, but after about am hour of riding i discovered how much i love riding and would like to get a new bike. MY friend offered me 400 for the gt which i will gladly take considering its brand new and i paid 395. Anyways now im serious i have 900 to spend and would like to get the best trail bike i can get. I want something thats fast, good quality, strong frame, and will just eat up those logs piled 5 high. Again i would like a much better ride then the trek 6700 and the gt avalance 2.0 . thanks
