help with fork fitting please.
Well heres the deal, i dont know how to measure correctly
Lets say a steertube of a fork is 6.5 inches
When measuring from the top of the crown to the top of my stem( this is on the bike of course) i get 8 inches. 8 inches minus 1 inch of spacers equal 7 inches (my math teacher says i can still get an eighty after my exam)[these measurments are with the headset on]
so if i remove the spacers will i beable to put a fork with minimum of 6.5 inche, or its not safe?

Do you even know if your bike has a threadless headset?

Also, keep in mind that by losing the 1" of spacers you are going to be changing your riding position quite a bit. An inch is a big change when it comes to rider position.

heh you know what i find funny? Whenever i start a thread it allways goes down this road because people always bring my damn bike into it. Like in the last few threads of my mine, some person always says some crap like get a new bike, throw this one away... blah blah blah, the same thing over and over again. and then i get warned when i fight back...i think my bike has been talked about alot more than the playoffs. wow.
That's my 20 cents.
