Is sycamore cycles is close enough to the camp site for parts should something break that i don't have a spare for?
It'd suck to drive all the way to NC only to have something bad happen and not have the part i need to fix it.

Sounds good.
I went for a ride on Sunday and all i could think about was how boring it was. It was a place i hadnt ridden for several months and i remember why. It was all flat and super tight and twisty so you could never gain any momentum. No down grades to speak of, and bar the occasional feature, it was just flat, flat, flat....always pedaling. I could count on one hand the places in the 8 mile loop where i had some help from gravity. The one good thing about it was a very short hill with a little kicker (about 2/3rds the size of the kicker from the 24 hour race id say) with a banked corner at the bottom.
Im really itching to get down there at this point. Im dreading the climbs, but ive seen pics of gastro climbing so that makes me feel better
The downhills will put me out of my element, but dammit they'll be fun
Hey is there tap water at the site? Or am i bringing my own drinking water for the weekend?

Are there places to shower up in the area? A few days is no big deal. I'll be out there for 9 days, though. Any parks with showers in the area? How about public showers around Asheville? Many towns in Colorado have quarter showers. Any such places around western NC? I'll be staying at the NOC the following weekend, but will probably need a shower or two in the mean time.
This trip's going to be awesome.

Ive never seen a bear.
They say you can't out run them, but i think our odds improve if we're on bikes.

Little story, my buddy and I went for a run while I was in college. Turned the corner and there was the mean neighborhood nasty Rotweiler. Easily a 140 lb dog.
We immediately slowed to a walk and I asked, "think we can outrun it if it comes after us?"
And he replied, "Don't care! I know I can outrun you!".

Okay wait. So Pheard. You swing that way? I mean....it's all good and stuff but ya know, you can't be calling me a MILF and stuff if you do. See? And then Hammy. He'd then be a FYLF, right?
But either way it's all cool. Just let us know, man. Let us know. Because if Hammy was that way, I'd have to look at him and the whole NC crew in another light here.
