I became a 29'er today but not how I anticipated
Yesterday I found a Cannondale Caffeine 29 and came home and did my homework via the internet.
Went back to the LBS, credit card in hand and noticed another 29 hanging on the wall which I did not see yesterday. Specialized Rockhopper Comp 29 - 2009. I ended up liking it better than the Caffeine.
The specs are different from the US version as I got it in Okinawa Japan.
No ride report yet but I rode it home about 10 km from the LBS and rode it around a field by my office. I can tell already I can climb better and the thing darn near acted like a road bike coming back from the shop. I was going way faster than I thought I could.
Will try to break it on the trails this weekend and give a decent report.
