New ride

Well, I finally was able to get my new bike first part of last week. I've only been able to ride a couple times on it. Once around the neighborhood with my wife and once to my work to see how long of a ride that will be. But now this heat wave has rolled in and at a standstill for now. I'm taking it easy since it has been such a long time that I was on a bike on a regular basis. Those couple times I have rode sure have felt good, sore but good! LOL Just can't wait to be able to have rides with some dirt under the tires and trees around me again.

Thanks, I like it so far. The picture didn't come out quite as clear as I wanted it, but my camera was being psycho on me so had to use my mother-in-law's and I'm not too familliar with her camera. This heat wave can go somewhere else! In the local area they're saying the last time it got close to being this hot was back in '01. That's when I got here and forgot about that time. But this heat wave is hotter than that one, '01 was only about 98-100 without adding in the humidity.

Nice bike!!

Same here in Montreal about the heat though, 34 celsius, feels like 47 counting humidity. But it didn't stop me from riding anyway, just returned after a 2 hour ride .

Yeah its hot here to. Sometimes it reaches mid 40's. And Im a roofer, trust me its hot on a roof. The heat has stoped my progress in digging dirt for my dirtjumps to. Its just to dam hot to work all day in then go home and dig dirt.

It was 92 here yesterday / 70% humidity when we went riding about 7PM. Heat index of 100. It felt like we were going to regret going in such high heat, but once we started riding, the sweat cooled us off and we set a new record pace. It was the best ride we've had in a long time. Get out and ride, and it may surprise you how much you enjoy it.

Nice bike, congratulations!!!

As for the heat just take plenty of water and don't do anything stupid. I have never seen it too hot to ride. I'll be doing 40 - 50 miles of hills this evening with a heat index of right around 100. I've ridden much hotter though. I figure if I'm going to have to race in the heat I had better ride in the heat. Same goes for rain, snow, hail, wind, etc....
