I just leave it in my M3 bag and if I need it its there. Ive learned over the years that even if I dont need it I inevidably will run into someone who does and "Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it" on long boonie trips to Va. mountains I carry a water filter that fits in my water bottle cage also because 3 liters doesnt last all day. |

I carry a tube, glueless patches, a patch kit, a pump, one tire lever and a little multitool. Along with my camelbak, helmet, gloves, munchies, ID and whatnot.

I just go MacGyver on the trail, I patch tubes with pine sap and oak leaves. If a cable breaks I use strips of vine.
