RockShox MC 3.1 adjust & Pics

I recently purchased an 06 Mongoose Teocali Super. Its a great bike so far...I have no complaints. I went rom an older hardtail to FS and its great. The only problem is I cant seem to get my rear shock dialed in. The fork is great, RockShox Pike 454 dualair but the rear shock, RockShox MC 3.1, is giving me trouble. I admit, I do more freeriding but it seems that shock doesnt like the big hits like the fork does? Im a 6'4" guy at 220lbs, so Im not light by any means. It seems stiff at the begining and to plush at the end of its travel?! Maybe its just me. Any advice would be great! Here are some pics of the bike after the purchase (Team Performance) and with me on it! Thanks!
