Brake pad type

There are two types of brake pad available for my type of brakes (Hayes Sole). Either Semi-Metallic or Sintered... any idea on what lasts longer, provides the better grip in wet and muddy conditions....

The sintered are slightly more expensive, does that mean they're more worth the money?

Basically, which ones shall I buy?

If you ride your brakes hard then go for the Sintered ones for sure. The Semi-metallic pads often over heat and in some cases will destroy your rotor, but if your not on your brakes all the much then you should be "ok" the the semi-metallics. I also think that the semi-metallics last a little longer than the sintered pads.
