Mostly complete, though I'm still waiting for the seatpost to come in and I haven't trimmed the steerer yet as I may be using a different stem. I also have a SS chain, bash guard, and chain guide on order, so hopefully this time next week I'll have it all put together.

Ironhorse Sinister Comp Additions: Kona Ring of Fire IRC Mud Mad WTB power v dh saddle 2 seat post; the long one you see and a short one |
Cooked my stock headset on the stumpy so replace with a Cane Creek 110. It's their new model with a 110 year warranty. Colors are back ordered so went with black. Top notch fit and finish, we'll see how it holds up:
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/j...g?t=1206323274 After trying it out I wiped out in some sand so I brought it into work and cleaned it up. I don't mind a dirty bike but sand in the moving parts I don't like. I usually ride and old ridgid converted to SS at work since it's a big place but used the Stumpy instead: http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/j...g?t=1206323487 |
My Mountain Bike

Supercaliber 26er added Shimano PD-A530 multi-purpose pedals and panaracer tires. The rest is stock. Oh yea and a bell for hikers, this is great PR for mountain bikers on multi-user trails. Actually hikers hear the bell and move over much sooner then me yelling out "on your ...." resulting in more enjoyment for me and probably the hikers as well. |
Not as nice as most of the other bikes here, but it's all mine!... thanks to dminor for the frame. I'm curious to find out what it weighs.

That WRX turned out sweet.

That turned out pretty nice mazdaspeed.
|
Thanks, I like it a lot more than anything I could have bought for what I spent on it.

You might want to get a half link for the chain mazda.;)

Yeah that or a tensioner, it's loose but I haven't had any problems yet so I'm not in a big hurry.

Yeah I'll do that. Any suggestions for a cheap tensioner? Also I think my bottom bracket might be creaking :/

Me too. Nice Jamis. How you like the XT shifters? 07?

My 2007 Commencal Meta 5.5.2 Frame broke the other week and it's being replaced with a 2008 Meta 5.5 VIP.
I've taken the opportunity to put, ahem, a couple of new bits on it too. In fact the only things that are staying are the front and rear derailleurs, forks, tyres and saddle :) I will post pics when I get it but in the meantime, here is my bike as was... http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...7/P1000628.jpg And here is the new frame I'm getting... http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/images...e/00001532.jpg |

Looks kinda like the Diamondback Knucklebox design.

NICE. Don't see many of those around those parts. Does the suspension design work well?
They are really taking Europe by storm... Suspension is great. The 07 model was classed as best all rounder by most of the UK press. When I bought the 07 model I tried all sorts including Specialized Stumpy, Cannondale Prophet, Trek Fuel EX but thought the Commencal was the one for me :) |
good
