That Time of Year, What is on your Wishlist?

What Parts/Gear/Bike did you put on your wishlist?

I asked for a new repair stand, new shorts and gloves.

Only thing on mine is road bike related. I'm hoping for a new Campagnolo Chorus Carbon Ultra-Torque crankset. Other than that a new jersey and a pair of bib shorts and socks would be nice. I have everything else I need.

My main wish is for pending sponsorships to be wrapped up so I know what I'll be on next season.

Oh I forgot, it would be nice if Santa would happen to get me in the right place at the right time to find a Playstation 3 for sale in a store. I know I don't need it, and would probably only play it a few times but darnit I want it!!!!

Let's see. I already have the frame I want waiting to be built up so for mountain bike I'm okay. I am building up a road bike but wish it was a cyclocross. So I suppose I wish for a CX bike.

Other than that I've asked for a small food processor. Ummm, a nice new tie, preferable Italian. A nice scarf to go with the new big-boy coat I bought to look presentable during the winter months. That's it, I think.

Also, I wish that Halo 3 was made for the Xbox. Barring that I wish for an Xbox 360 but only after I get the HD TV. As I don't feel the need for a big tv right now, I'd rather wait so let's see about making Halo3 for the Xbox.

A knowledge of how to adjust a front derailler, effing hate the front derailler. Just spent 30 minutes adjusting cable tension and limit screws, and I can't get it not to scrape in all the chain rings. Feck.

I'm so mechanically ********.

As our trusty Trek rep Kevin says, "There are two things I don't do: front derailleurs and bottom brackets"

I hate FDs also.

I had the deore LX front derailler, and the mechanic tells me it's a bottom pull.

So I get an x9 off him for 20. I line up the derailler 1mm in the inside of the chain which is parallel to the cage. I do everything parktool tells me, once the chain isn't scraping in one chain ring, it's scraping in the next. I've adjusted everything under the sun and can't get things running smoothly. I hate FDs. I can do Rds, but not Fds. Damn I'm pissed. I don't want to pay someone to adjust a derailler.

My wife says this year we should limit ourselves to stocking stuffers. So how big a stocking do I need to hold a new Fox Vanilla fork?
