markham park trail

located in south florida
i was there last weekend(sunday)
i was the moron with no helmet and with my friend on a bmx bike
i later wore a baseball helmet
i finnaly bought a bike helmet
i doubt anyone on this form was there BUT maby someone here goes there.
this was my first experiance with a real trail
obviously i went on the "expert" trail first....what great fun that was!!
before i did gopeds and pocketbikes and those dont go to well with cops
so i decided to try mountainbiking and i liked it.

i just wanted to know why people that go there are not friendly or helpful.
i mean i wave to them and i get a face? is that a normal characteristic of a pro bike rider?

I rode that trail after an unfortunate WD-40 on the brake rotor mishap and I thought it was a sweet park despite my stopping issues.

As far as folks being not-so-friendly, it could have been the lack of helmet/inappropriate gear. Every now and again you read about somebody that hurts themselves while riding at a park and then sues the park. Most likely you were looked upon as a liability and a threat to their hobby/lifestyle.

Smooth and silent and TERRIFYING!! All that coral and prickly vegitation made it one sphincter-tightening kind of day!

Unfortunately I only rode it one day and I wish I could get back but alas, I'm mired in the frozen-tundra of Chicago.

On the bright side the ground is now frozen and the trails will be clean and fast!
