Shimano Centrelock rotor with Avid BB5

I have a set of XTR centrelock wheels I want to use with Avid BB5 Disc brakes. Other than the correct diameter is there any reason centrelock rotors will not work?

1 thing could possibly have an effect and I'm not sure if it will or not.
Rotor location (spacing left or right) in relation to the caliper.
If that is with in adjustable perameters (it fits), then you are golden.

I dealt with this situation the other day-the only issue is if the rotor is the spider-style. If it is, the edges of the spider will rub the calipers(easily fixed with a dremel).

shimano rotors have a thinner contact patch than do others, thus they are not compatable with other calipers. other rotors are compatable with shimano rotors, but not vice versa.

I compared the Shimano rotors with the Avid rotors and the contact patch looks to be the same....other than the wavy part. Installed and working like a charm. Thanks for everyones input.
