simple log obstacle (pics)

I built this obstacle with a friend in a couple of hours. It's not much, but it sure is a lot of fun!

The obstacle from the side, with my friend walking by:

Me going over the obstacle:

There's more pictures here: https://altbit.org/pseudorandom/image...able/obstacle/

My bud forgot his skid lid, but we had a great time riding on (and falling off of) this contraption.

Take the boards off, stack the 3 logs in triangle then you'll have an obstacle worth doing.

Your apparent desperate lack of carpentry skills does not diminish the fact that that's a neat little obstacle - get it dialed, and when you encounter something similar on the trail, you won't even think twice about hitting it.

Hmm...seems we have some big talkers around here.

Looks like a good start. Keep building. I've never been comfortable doing obstacles in clipless

And is that a Monocog?

Of course. Once you've got a nice pair of shants/manpris, you do not want to trash them.

You have to be cautious. I nearly tore a small bit of leg stitching on this pair.

Good job. Keep at it. Then when you feel you have that dialed, move things around. Narrower, taller, put a corner in, just use the logs, make a teeter, etc.

Cool deal. Any off-trail practice will improve your skills for when you're back in the woods. Good job!

Which is exactly the reason I wear manpris at times. They keep my vagina refreshingly clear of sand.
