Marin Hawk Hill....Opinions?
Hi guys! I'm basically a MTB newbie. I'm 33 years old and haven't ridden a bike more than a 5 mile trip here and there since I was a kid. I recently purchased a Marin Hawk Hill 15" bike online(I know I should have used LBS, but with the sale they were having, and a coupon code I found + free shipping, I got the bike for $249, a good deal IMO when comparing components on other bikes in the $250 range). I haven't ridden the bike yet, but was just wondering what you guys think of it. I'm a girl by the way
Thanks!
Thanks!

The Hawk Hill is a great bike and more than entry level as it has the same frame as their $1200. hardtail. I had a 05 model and sold it because of the wrong size frame and bought a Rock Hopper on sale...mistake as the Marin had better specs and geometry. The Deore components are good stuff, has strong, eyeletted spoke wheels, and probably a Marzocchi fork. The $250. you paid? Girl you killed it. It's a bike certainly worthy of any upgrades when or if you ever wear out components. BTW, you can register your HH online with Marin. And, if you ever have a repair question, call Marin and ask to speak to a tech. Good bikes, good company.

I got it at Sierra Trading Post. A great place to find deals IMO!
