Hello!

Hey, I'm a partial transplant from the roadie forum. This morning I picked up a 2007 Giant Yukon. Why so in expensive? Well, I'm new to this side of cycling so I'm bound to break things, bones, parts, ect. and when parts break, I don't want to have to cry for very long for having to replace something that just minutes ago was a perfectly working part. Anyway, my former employer, Fat Jimmy's Outfitters in Breezewood, Pa gave me a great price. I'll be doing mostly trail riding, what would be a good pedal and shoe to start with? I'm comfortable with the SPD style on my road bike, so it'll probably be in that direction. Anyway, glad to finally be here.

check out Nashbar or performance bicycle - both usually have combo deals on MTB shoes & pedals for under $75. Good intro deal - hey, they work!

Welcome! Come on down to WV on the weekend of June 16-17 for the Appalachian Classic MTB Race - free camping & good prize table!

Why are roadies so obsessed with shoes? Every one of them makes a big deal over cycling shoes.

Just messing with you dude. Two of the guys I ride with regularly have Yukons and they're great.

Ok, hope that works. Is there anything more beautiful? New mountain bike, old Jeep, just hangin' out. Gotta love it.
