what is the amount of spring that u want in a mountain bike when you sit down on the bike? (2 shocks)

when you sit down on the bike?
I assume by this you mean the amount of sag in the suspension when you sit on the bike. Generally around 20 - 25% of the shock/fork travel is the standard.
