I live in Clinton Township.
I've ridden Stony Creek, Bald Mountain, Pontiac Lake, Highland, and every now and then I'll hit the bandit trails and dirt jumps at Dodge Park if I need a quick fix (I live right around the corner).

I am. I just rode from to the end of the Macomb Orchard trail. About 85 or 90 miles round trip according to some maps I looked at. But that's a rail trail. You probably mean MTB trails. My favorites are at the state parks- Bloomer, Maybury, and Island Lake. I also like driving out to the Potowatomi every now and then, but I haven't this year.

FlatFender.. thanks man.. I've joined that site, it's pretty sweet for local stuff. There's races, calendars, everything.. Is nice.. I like..
Michigander. Right on man.. 90 miles? WOW.. I did a 10 mile right this weekend.. LOL..
I'm on the fence about getting a road bike, I've been considering it for about a month now.. Looking at a Giant Carbon..

Detroit area is huge. If you're around Livonia, you should come out to some of the Cycle to Fitness rides. They're listed on the MMBA, but Tuesdays are a road ride, usually two groups: pretty fast and slower, Wednesdays are riding from the shop to Maybury, and Thursdays are a random local trail ride. Oops, forgot Sunday, laid back mountain bikes on the road ride. Usually not very fast but there is a fast group of road riders that breaks off from there too.
We just got back from the Boyne Mt. race. Wow. Like nothing else down here. My hat's off to those that ride in real mountains. It's some grueling riding. The down hills are fun though!

No, Cycle to Fitness is on Farmington Road, just south of Plymouth and about 1/2 mile or so north of Hines. Good spot for a quick gel or if you need something while you're out on Hines. I'm actually in Plymouth too. For the Wednesday ride, instead of meeting at the shop, I'll sometimes ride from the house to Maybury and try to meet with them while riding. If you want to hook up this Wednesday, and ride out there, we can. The road ride is actually a good warm up.
PM me if you're interested.

I used to live at Crooks and Hamlin in Rochester Hills and rode Clinton River trail almost every day to help get in shape. It was convenient as it ran right behind our apartment. Nothing extreme but a nice ride for a rail trail. Picked up a few other trails from there and took it up until it ended at 29 mile and Van ****. Moved back to the Flint area last October so I am looking for trails around here. Not having any luck though so for the most part it is looking like we pack up the bikes and head back down that way when we want to do any trail riding.
