OK... so ive decided to be a serious cheap skate and build my own work stand... i have one design which is like a big arm with a hook that hooks onto the top bar of the bike... then another bar which is welded onto the top bar which is either cemented or bolted into the ground...

I need some inspiration.. can anyone send me pics or ideas of they're stands? so i can make a better design?

Do a search in the mechanics section. a few people have made their own stands...

Why not look at the stands for sale at places like www.nashbar.com or at pricepoint? Seems they would have lots of pics of good (or at least decent) stands...
