Learn to count! Three sponsor plugs :D

Not entirely their fault on the Pro PS - - It's a supplier issue that they are having to deal with.

Guess who has to build the fisher back up?

All due to some scuzzbag bike thief, stealing the dmr frame, so I am a bit lucky I had taken a good chunk of the parts off the bike in order to do some maintenance to.

Shame about the DMR. I didn't know you get them over there. Genuine UK frames ...OK Taiwanese frames from a UK company, but nice. I have a Switchback, about to be rebuilt when the Vanillas come back hopefully creak free...

I was reading the which "clipless and why" thread and I got to thinking..... After years of riding clipless pretty much all the time I'm now running platforms on my bikes. I went out for a ride yesterday running my Time pedals and about 6 miles in my knee starts giving me problems again. When I got home I ditched the clipless and went with a set of platforms. Now when I ride with my old Vans/flats setup,no problems. I am finding that I am just more comfortable riding on flats now days.

I run flats for everything. I have a vague idea to do an XC race in them, partly to see if I can & partly because there's a good chance of it annoying people with no sense of humour...

Back to DMR, V12 pedals & 5-10 shoes give awesome levels of grip. I noticed someone asking about feet slipping - a big thing is to relax when riding. Tense up & you'll come off any pedals. Even with SPDs, if you're tense you'll crash (maybe still attached to the bike...)

Not much to watch at the moment. But I DID get to see a crapload of smileys and a choochoo train.

xcracer13 08-11-08 09:57 PM

Smileys make everything better.

Fail. I won a good chunk of the recent arguments because, unlike most arguments I have, they were based on provable facts and not opinions.

Oh, but you used to be . . . so was I. I was probably that clueless too - - only I was better at keeping quiet about it; there was no Internet to show it off for all the world to see ;).

Luke52 08-12-08 03:45 PM

Going to the bike shop on Friday night :D

If they have the bike in the right frame size, I'm getting it, if not, ordering it :D
