My first Mt. Bike with front suspension. My 13yr. old Raleigh Crest just wasn't cutting it for a Mt. bike. It's not high end, but what a difference from my old bike. I'm a roadie. I'm going to try this Mt. Bike thing out and see if I like it.

Got it for $700. I live in a smaller town. I know I could have gone to the city and got it a little cheaper, but I like supporting locally owned businesses.

yep, it is. for the $$ that i paid for the frame/rear shock, i was able to build it up with the stuff i wanted, and still spend less than about $1600. the Boxxer Ride makes the bike, overall, that and the platform shock in back. drop the travel down to ride up, then have it at 7" coming back down. love it!

it's been really nice; pedals up what i need, to get down. Bullit clone, obviously. i've compared it side to side with a couple. geo and pivot locations is pretty much the same, but the tubeset on this rocks. plenty of tire/rear rotor room (a problem on older Bullits) nice simple single pivot, quite large sealed bearings.

just had the first ride the other day with the E-13 direct mount stem. very nice.

36.2# as is. another 1.5# when i throw the DH rubber on.

my first fully, coming from beefy hardtail background. still ride the hardtail most of the time, but this is seeing more and more use. can't wait for the resorts, and higher up rides to be free of snow now! had the bike since last year, and only managed to hit keystone once with it.

Thanks! I got a heck of a deal on it from the LBS Christmas open house. I paid $618(tax & upgrades included) - $100 re-imbursement from work = $518 out the door.

I love the Scott look and their making a comeback in the US now. They use some serious tubing on this ride. It weighs in around 29 lbs. Glad to see it. I've always liked their gear.

What are you riding in a Scott ride?

I did a rough weigh in last night will all my gear on it and it came to about 26 lbs, so I am guessing about 22 lbs with the Python tires and whatever clipless pedals I get. However, that is just a guess

I finally got a good picture of my bike. The new 50/50 blue pedals I got are yet to go on it, I'll take more when I get them on.

Alivio right now, I might upgrade to something better in the next few months. Still deciding. I definately will get a new rear brake soon, and maybe some grips.

My suggestion is to add a new frame and then eventually replace every component.
The one thing about xmart bikes that allways makes me laugh are the crank arms. It seems I may be able to snap them in half.
