I like the way this bar end bends back around towards the rider. It would eliminate the need for me getting a butterfly type of handlebar if I could find one like this. This one is a PROFILE XC SIERRA model but I understand it was discontinued 10 years ago.

the closest thing these days might be trekking bars

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

I've looked at those Mark,I don't like the idea of having to put my hands closer to the body and resulting in a more upright riding postion and catching more wind. This would be for my new hybrid road bike (cannondale roadwarrior 3) I seriously injuried my left arm in a fall last October and am looking for as many possible hand postions as I can get.

Hnadlebar reach is purely dependent on stem and top tube length. If you feel more upright then buy a longer stem surely????

I may have to end up having to get a trekking bar but I thought the most simpliest and least expensive answer would be the kind of end bars I had pictured.I think the stem that came with my bike is about as long as can be had.

Have you ever found any info on these?
I have a set of these and they're in great condition, I can't believe I was going to throw these in the scrap pile. I've been looking for a new pair to put on another bike, just can't find them, I even checked with my Profile Dealer. Just wondering, wouldn't even mind finding a used pair!
