Muddy Buddy
I was reading the new Dirtrag with the Ned Overend article, and he was talking about a new type of race called muddy buddy. I guess it's 2 people on a team. They both take off at the same time, one on a bike and one on foot. After a mile, the bike rider drops his bike and takes off on foot. When the first runner gets to the bike, he rides it for a mile, and it repeats. Sort of a mountain leap frog.
Anyone heard of this, or have competed in this type of race? Sounds like fun to me, as I also love to run.
The article, by the way, was well done.... That guy really inspires me with his determination and dedication.

Yea, they do them around here occasionally.
Pretty fun, but we do them a bit different down here. It's half the race on the bike. Drop it, then run the rest, your buddy is running and then riding the rest of the race. It's pretty cool.
I recall someone calling them XTerra's around here.

Hey Bac,
Xterra is a triatholon in dirt I thought. At least on OLN. It is usually something like Kayaking, hiking/running and mountain biking. At least from what I have seen. (as opposed to swim, bike, run) A lot of fun to watch

Running and biking are two things that I love.
