Trails Directory?
Folks,
I've got a nice long x-mas break coming up and I'd like to road trip to some serious riding south of me (Iowa) for weather reasons, but don't want to waste the trip looking for good trails. Does anyone know of any good directories where I could locate some serious riding (a highly technical xc, freeride, stunt, urban scene)?

Try this: https://www.trails.com/explore/activity.asp?AreaID={FB8E358D-FD1D-11D3-9BCF-00104BC9463C} *Edit, just go to www.trails.com and click on Iowa.

From there, I'd find out what towns your planning on staying/riding in, then do a yellow page search and find the local shops. Call them and ask.
When traveling, I always like to visit the shops in that area anyways, then I walk right to the repair area and ask the mechanics. They always seem to know the best places and I don't waste my time talking to a salesperson who wants me to buy a bike.

Freeride Trails?
I should be more clear. I'm from Iowa and want to head South over X-mas break. I don't like the term freeride but that's pretty much what I'm looking for. The destination will be based upon the trails available to ride, which is why I'm looking for a directory. I hear IMBA is making a legal freeride directory but it is not completed.
So if anyone out there knows an area where I can get in some serious riding/freeriding around X-mas let me know!
