Just curious. What forks do most people actually ride?

I've got a Cannondale Lefty and a Marzocchi Z-2 atom race. I prefer the Marzocchi. In the past I've had Rock Shox and Manitous. I don't really like any of the RS products, but haven't personally tried out the new Psylos. I ridden a bike with a new Manitou Black Elite and it was pretty sweet. I would personally like to buy a new Marzocchi Z-1 or a new Manitou SuperNova.

I didnt vote because im torn between two forks. I ride a rock shox jett (soon to be upgraded) so i have loyalties there, but i fell in love with my freinds marzocci (sp?) I havent rode judy, psylo, or duke so i really cant say anything bad about rock shox, but theres nothing i dont love about marzocci.

I had to vote RockShox because that's what I have on both my MTB's. Haven't tried any other ones but sure would like too.

Marzocchi is my fav. I also like White Brothers, but I haven't tried one and they are expensive!!

I love my Manitou forks.

Hey Captain Crunch!!! Another Mountain Biker!!! Thats great!!

For the last 14 years I have been strictly a mountain biker but at the end of last year I started road riding in preparation for a triathlon I was entering. It was fun to get back on the road for sure but there is nothing quite like hitting the trails. This year I have done far more road riding than mountain biking. It's nice to switch them up and I find that the road riding has made me a physically stronger M'biker and the mountain biking helps in bike handling when road riding. Very complimentary of each other.


I don't think I would ever want to choose one over the other. I just like biking.

Rond. I've had a set of Quake Comp 75s for a couple of years and have only serviced them once! They are designed by a Dutchman who used to do Motocross, so he should know a thing or two about suspension. Excellent quality and value for money . Totally bombproof and different from the rest of the pack.

I do have my eye on the new range of forks from Fox. Anyone else heard any reviews on them yet?

I have only owned two susp forks, both Rock Shox. The first one was the Indy C (a piece of poop) and my current one, the SID XC. I have no complaints about the SID. I have had it for two years and have not had any problems. I do not have anything else to compare it to, but it seems comparable to similar forks that friends own.

I don't have much experience as far as different forks. I currently have a Headshok and a Manitou SX...

The Headshok is very stiff, tracks great, and is light....The downside is that it doesn't handle small bumps very well and it isn't very easy to service.

My manitou is plush, for a 63mm fork, and very easy to work on but it also has a lot of flex to it.

I really need to ride many more forks before I can decide which is my favorite fork manufacturer.

Right now I've got a Manitou SX-E from about 3 years ago. I have no basis for comparison, so I'm abstaining from the vote. The SX is nice, and it works for my purposes, so I've spent my money on other upgrades.

Any first thoughts on the new Fox Forx? It looks like it'd be pretty sweet (as it should be for 600 bones!).

Cheap Suntour coiled spring job that came with bike - it cut's out the worst of the bumps and is maintenance free. limited travel 50mm? but it doesn't rebound too much.
