Moots

You all might already have checked out Moots components before, but I just went to their site for the first time. I know it's titanium but Holy Moly!
$229.00 for a stem!

Yeah, if you've got the money and you want one of finest made titanium bike around, Moots is your bike. I've seen 4 year old bikes sell for over $3,000, just because they're Moots, CRAZY!

I know plenty of people who wouldn't spend $229 on a bike, nevermind a stem. I don't understand how getting a high priced stem, seatpost, or handlebar could help you that much unless you're racing and need them to be titanium.

Dilligum, you're missing the point of a $229.00 stem and Moots in general. You don't "NEED" one, you just "WANT" one, or can "AFFORD" one and you want everyone to know it.

Kinda like a Porsche. Do you really "NEED" a car like that? No, but I know I want one.

Hmm....I get your point...but a porche would handle really nicely on a twisty road at high speeds and so the performance is what you pay for. These moot bikes may be the same I guess, but it seems like it's mostly just hype...anyone have a web address where I could get a peek at their merchandise?
