Compressed air

Hey,

Pretty basic question. Those compressed air canisters you can buy, are they designed to inflate a tyre from flat? like if you had to change your tube in a race in a hurry or what are they good for? Or are they just for topping up?

Also, are they one use only?

Thanks!

No, they can be used to inflate a full mountain bike tire but they the prob is they will only get it to about 40 psi from what i have heard, which isnt too bad, and also i dont think any of them have gauges so you have to go by feel on the actual psi.
