kind of hard to say without riding them. That is a bit of a Luddite post.

They may suck, I have no idea. Odds are something good will be learned from this design even if it sucks

It's a product from Crankbrothers, it's bound to fail in some way or another.

No.

The people who invented Spin wheels would have called me a Luddite, too.

That's because they are throw away pedals, one hit, breaks the pedal, throw away since customer support and warranty is god awful with crankbrothers and buy another set.

My speedplay drilliums are going to be 3 seasons old come tomorrow only thing that had to be done to them was to replace the pins.

Exactly, but for the price, you can throw them away, and if you are careful and dont snag any trees (like i did the ride before last, owwwwwww that hurt) they should last a fairly long time.

Stupid SPD clips wear out so fast, i like egg beater's clips.

I should actually speak. I went through two sets of XT pedals in less than a year, bent the right spindle on the first set, then blew out the bearings in the right pedal in the new set. Had the platforms on there ever since. Just got my Mallets back the other day sent them out like back in January, the problem wasn't fixed as in blew out the left pedal again on their first ride back.

Yea, SPD pedals certainly arent the industry standard, or perfect, but for lighter riders they usually do just fine. Just as Egg beaters do fine for careful riders.

I'm not careful at all, yet I hardly break anything on my bikes.

Hmmm....
