Fire. Riding through recovering burn areas is odd/cool feeling at the same time, seeing all the new growth coming up. That was about three years after the fire. Don't see as much of that out here in the east.

^^ Haha! Real streamers . . . thought it was going to be 100 yards of course tape . That's how I'd end up with streamers.

Mrs. Scrub and I did a pairs offroad duathlon a few years ago. She ran/I rode. With streamers and an ugly ass Hawaiian shirt. One got lost mid race, and a spectator actually picked it up and brought it back to me afterwards. Nice.

It was highly entertaining to see how many people were discomfited by a grown man riding around with streamers on his bike.

I put them on for races.

So the people who pass me say, Oh great - I just passed a guy with streamers!...

And, the folks I pass think, sh*t, I just got passed by a guy with streamers....
