Help Identifying This Vintage Bike

Well don't really know if it classifies as vintage.. It has a Mongoose stickers, but I doubt it's a Goose, being that it looks like it was a pretty nice bike from it's day.. No other markings other then the serial # under the BB shell. Any guesses ??

It's a 'goose all right, circa 98, ridden by the likes of Lopes and Fuzzy Hall back when Mongoose was somewhat legit.

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

It's fine. It's an old bike. It's got outdated components and looks a bit dodgy. Kinda like when you look at your parents yearbook. Nothing wrong with the people in the photos, they just have laughable hair and clothing styles compared to todays fashions. Just ride it. I like the brake booster arch on the back. I think that's what it is at any rate. Have not seen one of those in a while.
