any one in or around norfolk, VA? looking for somewhere to ride my mountain bike that i could get to using HRT, then ride to. i'm at ODU, and HRT will take me all around hampton roads. preferably somewhere that's not going to be deserted most of the time, because i'll be a long way from home, so i guess i'll try to be safe and stay around some of the "right type of people". thanks!

Does HRT take you near Gatewood? That place isn't bad. It's in Newport News. There are awesome trails if you go west on I-64 into Williamsburg.

There's a Wed night ride out of Conte's on 21st in Ghent. They ride to Ipswitch and back. Not very technical but riding it at night provides some challenges.

That Conte's is in downtown where everything's paved but Ipswitch is a fairly complex series of trails. There are a few man-made toys like teeter-totters and dirt jumps too.
