Macalu by Litespeed?

Hi - A friend dropped over his titanium Macalu from the 90's for me to sell. After doing some searching on the Internet, I am not learning much about this bike. I am in Boulder and it looks like Excel Sports sold this bike in the past. I am planning on taking the bike there this weekend to get more info. Does anyone else know anything else about this bike? I am going to sell it for him but have no idea what to price it at. He paid @ $2400 for it new. It is made by Litespeed (stamp on frame) and it has high end Shimano components. The bike rides fantastic. If anyone has any knowledge about this bike, it would be great to learn more about it.

Thanks - jenif.

Bikes: hardtail, squishy, fixed roadie, fixed crosser

AFAIK, Macalu was a "house brand" for Excel.

Throw it up on ebay and see what happens. I think you'd be lucky to get $6-700 at most.

Thanks for the info, he would be really happy with that amount. I am going to try Craig's List first, just to see if anyone local is interested.

Should have no trouble selling it around Boulder. Put it up for a grand and see what sort of offers you get.

Closer to 5-600 is what you'll likely get, but unless he's in a hurry, start asking high and see what happens.

Listed it for $700 and have had quite a few inquiries. We will see if anyone picks it up at that price. Thanks for the advice.
