I'm kinda partial to the Speedplays
Speedplay's Drillium pedals are the ultimate platform pedals for downhill, slalom and BMX. The huge concave platforms with replaceable pins (20 per pedal) deliver a surefooted grip and incredible power transfer. Plus, the 12mm chromoly axles offer maximum strength. And, the precision bearings (one needle, two cartridge in each pedal) guarantee top-notch durability and super-smooth operation. These amazing pedals even feature built-in grease ports for easy lubrication with no disassembly. |

BTW, low profile pedals are where it's at...the feel is so much better (combined with the other benefits). |

How funtional are they Vic? What's the weight on em? do you recommend these for all mountain use?
They weigh ~0.49lbs [233g] each and run on decent sealed bearings. I've used them on my Surly Pugsley and my Santa Cruz Nomad. I'm not an uber hardcore rider, but I ride everything and so far they've been great. They sell for an MSRP of $80CDN - I got mine from www.bowcycle.com . |
