any advise to a first time clip less mtber that is afraid hes going to kill him self out there being clipped in

You are going to fall a few times because of the clipless pedals the first time out, I know I did. I would suggest you go limp and don't tense up so you don't break something.

Just get used to them, it only takes a ride or two.
