Decent bike for a starter

Got a bike.
It's a 19" Specialized Hardrock 2010. Paid $390 for it. Tried it compared to a Trek 3500, and Cannondale F9, and liked the Specialized best, felt the smoothest/most solid to me during my trip around the neighborhood.
