Which V-Brake?

I plan on up-grading my brakes and while i was reading reviews on the brakes on my bike now, every one was talking about up-grading to Avid single-7s/ Never heard of them. LBS is a Shimanno snob but it looks like the Deore brakes can be had for about the same price as the Avid -7s. Opinions and recommendations are now welcome!

I think that either the Deores or the Avid 7s will work fine for you. Both are $20 right now at Jenson.
