5 spoke wheels

Are there any companies that make a quality 5 spoke wheel for mountain biking? They would obviously need to be able to take the pounding of trail riding and going off moderate drops. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tell us some of your criteria, ie. why you want one.

Honestly, I want them for the look mostly. But I don't want to get something flimsy just to get a 'look'. I'll be using them for moderate trail riding mostly but with some more severe terrain periodically. I'm going to use them on a hard tail frame (when I decide on one).

I've just always wanted a set. My first bike ever had them and I have just always liked the way the look (strange I know). They may be limited to bmx applications and out of style as well, I was just wondering if any companies currently made them for mountain bikes.

I guess you've got to pay to play. I'll just have to add them to my ultimate wishlist because the bike I'm about to get isn't even going to cost $600.

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

TAG FRX5. MSRP a trifling $799 a set. Local has a set on his Rotec and they are indeed the schizz.

Thanks dminor, I'll have to check those out as well. They look sick! Ohh I'm getting excited now. I'm ready to hit some trails!

I hope you mean you're ready to hit the slopes... those TAG wheels weigh over NINE POUNDS a pair! Make sure the ski lift is operational before you head out.
