Thanks for the comment about the BMI. I am dropping clothes sizes but the weight has leveled off. I know I need to chase the exercise with good diet. But I have always used Food to celebrate with. Gotta figure this mental thing out.

Yah man...BMI is BS. I've been considered overweight when my body fat % was well below average. (it's not anymore, mind you...hahaha)

Yeah…BMI is insane. I am 43yo, 5’11” and 184lb and I am mildly overweight according to the BMI chart. I just don’t think that a guy my age and height wearing a size 32 pants and a M shirt is overweight. I mean I bought a pair of LiveStrong shorts the other day out in a kid’s size XL. I am far from being super fit, but I have well over 2500 miles in on my road bike since April….I ride mtb 2-3 times a week…I work out in the gym a few times a week, etc.

You are right that food is a mental thing. We end up eating out of habit or pleasure and not out of necessity. For the past couple of years, I have really worked on controlling what I eat. In fact, the other day I decided that I was going to eat when I was hungry and not because it was dinner time or whatever. Believe it or not, but I went 27+ hours before eating….and I wasn’t really “that” hungry…I only ate then because I was going on a 18mile road ride and knew that I would bonk big time.

Check this out…. This is 98lbs difference...it has been about 9months since I hit my goal of 190...in that time I have dropped another 6lbs, but that won't continue with winter coming.

Pictures tell the truth. Good job. My wife told me to trash the BMI anxiety. I'll let her know you main brains second the motion. She likes it when I tell her she's right. Maybe I can then ask for something new for the bike, like a Garmin 305 or something. hahahahahaha!
