It's my birthday! You jerks.

You woke up early and started your own birthday thread before anyone else can. Good idea. That way nobody can miss it. Now how self serving is that?
Have a Happy Birthday, Santiago! 10 more years till half century!!

Hey, mine was the 3rd, its a bad month to have a birthday. Everyone starts out with, Hey glad its your birthday. Umm, you know that stuff I got you for Christmas, well hey, its covers for today too. You know things are tough this time of year. Hey, lets eat some cake.
That is my discussion, crappy time of year for a birthday. Plus dad has never forgiven me for taking so long to be born and he lost the tax deduction for the previous year.
HEY, its all good, go get some miles in.

santiago is not so shallow that he measures his life in terms of miles.
He measures it in millimeters of foam atop a latte.

Sorry Salma's still hanging out here and sends her regards. She says she's just to worn out to go anywhere.

I feel honoured that gastro stopped by and brought Salma for a visit.

We wanted to do it up big this year. I made a HUGE cake and decided to put it in your dump truck there. Well, finally got the candles. Hard to find ones that big; googled it and turned up a vendor with this brand called "Roamin." Never heard of 'em before but the name was catchy - - kinda like the bike film, huh? I thought it was appropriate. And wow, they were the perfect size. You're very old so I ordered like 4 cases to cover it. Got them all set up . . . in the cake . . . in the back of the truck . . . and lit 'em off. Sorry you couldn't hear us sing 'Happy Birthday' over the sirens . . .
