How would we know what s-works bike it is. For all we know it could be an s-works fsr. In that case, it would be silly to ss it.

I think any S-works would be silly to SS it.

Measure yourself to make sure. Also make sure you leave some slack under the BB to accommodate suspension movement - that generation of enduros is notorious for ghost shifting under compression if the routing is too tight.

I purchase shimano housing bulk from my LBS and replace every year or so. The designer cables (flak jak, jagwire, etc.) show no noticeable improvement in performance or maintenance requirements in my experience.

Doesn't matter really.

I find that goodwill spread at LBS's makes the minuscule (if any) increase in out of pocket expenses well worthwhile.

I can't believe no one has recommended it...
Gore cables
or Jag Rip Cords feel really smooth. But Gore for the win.

Compared to the bulk QBP brake housing I've used for a while, there is a noticeable improvement with both v-brakes and mechanical discs when changing over to the Flak Jacket/Ripcord housing. YMMV. SS cables or maybe ss teflon coated, depending what's handy.

Stainless steel inners in good quality outers.

Make up my own cables but the outer is just what The LBS sell in bulk. And every so often-or quite often- I release the cable and wash through with WD40 and then lube with chain oil. Don't have a cable problem.

And get a good set of cable cutters. I have two- The standard Shimano one and the park tool one. I prefer the Shimano one as the Park tool version doesn't fit my hands.

I get the standard brake or shifter cables with housing from the LBS and change out the brake cables 1 time a year and shifter cables on the mountain bike especially the rear, every 6 months.

I ran the flak jackets and they were the awesome. I love full housing. I was running the gear version and had no issues in mud and muck. With brakes the less housing compression the better so I think the nokon's would be good too.

I think the stuff I am getting is pretty low key and inexpensive, I never considered it designer. hmmm
