half way through a build project - need feed back: chain guide/crank set

i just picked up this frame from jensonusa for about $350 shipped. it seems like a solid bike for aggressive trail riding and hitting the local bmx track.

i've got pretty much all the parts gathered now besides the BB/crank and chain guide, i need your help.

i'm going to be running a SRAM X9 short cage (1x9) , and i was planning on ordering a Truvativ Howitzer BB w/ Hussefelt cranks. (already run them on my 9er and like them very much )

dumb question: i'm not sure what kind of ICSG tabs i have, the old or 05. the frame is an 08.
=================================================================
i was considering these two systems-- E13 LG1+ or blackspire NSXC-4

The Howitzer BB seems to stick farther than most BB's. is this true? and will this effect the chain line of the little roller on the chain guide tensioner? is the E13 compatible with a bash guard or is it too wide?

any recommendations for a chain guide system/crank set up?

Not sure what you mean...shell width or spindle width?

The LG1 is designed to be run without a bashguard...the bottom black piece in your picture acts as the guard.

Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

I looked up the 08 catalog PDF on Jamis' website and it did not mention it in the description or the specs at the back. Measure your BCD (bolt circle diameter): if it's 73mm, it's ISCG 05; if it's smaller, it's old ISCG.

Also, if it is ISCG 05, tab recess is sized right for a chain guide back-plate and external-cup BBs like your Howitzer, so spacing should not be an issue. (reference: https://www.iscg05.com/background.html)
