Hi, I've just bought a used Trek 4500, the frame is metallic green, I'd like to know what year it is if anybody can help please, can I find it out from the serial number? I'd also welcome anyone's thought on the 4500. Thanks.

Google "trek 4500 bikepedia" & find the Bikepedia listing on any year Trey 4500. When you get to the page you'll see on the left that it has chronological links to all other years of Trek 4500's. Keep going up (or down) the list until you find one that matches yours. The colors might not be the same, so it would help to look at the components (derailleurs, brakes, shifters, etc) & find the corresponding parts as well.
