Hi, I'm a total newbie and just looking for a bike that I can ride around my neighborhood and for an occassional camping trips. My budget is limited so I'm looking at used bikes but I don't really know the values so please advice on these two:

Cheap bikes are cheap bikes. Those will work for what you are talking about. Try putting $80. in front of the owner of the second bike.

Thank you for your reply! The seller said the lowest she can go is $100, is this still a good deal since it's a 1998 bike but she said it is a "like new" condition? In the mean time what do you think of these:

Thanks you guys for your advice! I will go try out the 850 tomorrow to see if it would fit me. And since I'm going to be the area tomorrow, there's another bike that I'm going to try out but I want to have your opinion on it, it's a 2003 trek 4100 - asking price $115 (will this be a better deal since it's a little newer with aluminum frame?)
