wheel wobble already?

my bike is less than a week old and when I was cleaning it today, I noticed a bit of wobble on my rear tire, could this have been the result of some trail riding with semi slick tires? (I lowered the pressure to the lowest recommended pressure on the side wall of the tire) or perhaps running over some medium/large potholes during road construction? anywho, what should my next step be? bring it to the LBS for a fix, or attempt to true the tire myself?

Is the wobble in the tyre or the wheel? If its in the tyre, it may not be seated properly, and you could fix that. If the wobble is in the wheel, take it to the shop and get it fixed under warranty.

right. So to check take the tire off and then give it a spin...

If the wheel is whobblying that is not that worrysome. Oftentimes the ends of the spokes etc just need to settle and that can alter the geometry slightly.

I'd say just take it to the store where you bought it and they should fix it for free. (most LBSs will do a one-month tuneup for free so you should have no trouble getting it done as part of that)
