John Cowan - So cool looking in NWD 2 FTB.
Explainationn: He goes off a ramp, flying in the air doing a full 360, I think and then into the water he goes. Also, I think he rides a 2004 kona roast frame in the beginning of the actual movie as in not the intro.

It was old. that movie is from quite some time ago. We are at 5 now...so figure 2000 to 2001 and assume he is riding the frame from the next year. Probably an 02. I would have to watch the movie again to figure it out.

lol thats mad cool, and dangerous at the same time...you can seriously **** yourself up when you hit the water on a bike...higher speed= greater impact and higher chance of whiplash...

There was a weekend race event in the UK a few years ago where they'd race the Saturday and Sunday was a sort of party where people would line up to go down a huge ramp and jump into a lake on their bikes. Of course they used beaters, not their race bikes

as a way to practise bigger moves and just any new move in general . me and a few buddies will build a nice kicker or lip ramp throw it in the back of the truck go to the lake set it up and start hitting it. we put little floaties on the bikes so they dont sink and bam just go big and try to get a way from the bike if you out of it off the ramp or just land it like you would on dirt...safer to practise tricks jumping into water than on land for the first time..kinda like the huge faom padded boxes most pro's have in their back yards....

Ummm...cause its fun, helps you learn and its fun. If you don't get it, don't do it. But its like the swing on a tree on a 30 ft cliff...FUN!!!
Besides (we have one near us) no one I know uses their ride bike. Its the beater they use..and seriusly who cares about a 20$ bike. Its meant for abuse.

Yeah, that would be fun to learn. A girl in our class has like a xs size bike and she brings it to her cottage everytime she goes. According to her, she tries to get as much speed as she can and jump into the lake and retrieve the bike afterwards. I guess it would be hard to lift the bike out of the water if it was heavy. Lol I would hate to see a demo 9 stuck underwater.

yeah you use those floaties the ones for like 2yr olds to learn to swim floaties.. you put a couple on your bike and bam go to town.. i personally have 4 bike 2 full sus 2 hardtails and 1 bmx dirt jumper.. now i only use my dirt jumper or a hardtail to practise no mind it these are BEATEr bikes i use im not jumping into a lake with my 4000$ Freeride bike aint happening. but man talk about fun who cares if its only you and a few boys your not tryn to impress anyone jumping into water your learn body mechanics and the feeling of flyn spinning and flipping. you think most of these tricks you see today we learned on dirt. ahhh no most of them were learned by jumping into water or a foam padding pool.. when you throw a 360 and you dont land it on dirt for the first time your done but if you under rotate or over rotate on water really no biggie... get a beater make a ramp find a lake and start jumping and practicing
oh yeah did i mention its FUN
